Fuck me (Posted 24th October 2012)

It's 5 in the fucking morning.
My legs are killing me. So is my throat.
And yet there is still so much to do. >_<
The big part is the two parts that stick out at the back...
I can do it... I'm just trying to figure out how and the best way to approach it.
After that I can wait and finish the rest of the work at Ruby's house. Like finishing off painting and sticking...
The only other thing I can think of that would pose a challenge is... Well not only trying to fit this whole outfit in a suitcase ( for a train I might add) but attaching the wings to my outfit which will allow me to take them in and off... >_<
I want to cry. XD I've never been so proud of a cosplay before and yet my god has it been the toughest. ;;
I hope it's worth it though. >.<
Time for three hours of sleep before I wake up and start the whole process again.
I /WILL/ get this done.

So I stuffed and wired the wings today. C: After I've foamed it up I shall post some pictures of it on my back. But for now, this picture will have to do.
TOMORROW IS GET MORE GLUE AND STUCK EVERYTHING TOGETHER DAY. BECAUSE I JUST WANT IT DOOOONE. D';
Tomorrow will also be mainly focused on starting the back of the skirt. I cut the piece of fabric out for it so now I just need to cut out each section and layer it up~ C: Wish me luck.
Sunday will be... top day.
Because then my maaaammy can help me iron and cut everything. xD <3

HOW MANY DAYS LEFT? AAAAAH! (Posted 19th October 2012)

I've been pretty busy for the past few days~
Well... Yeah. YEAH. I'VE BEEN PRETTY PRODUCTIVE. ;3;
Slowly getting there and making everything fit correctly... and now I'm glueing everything down... Ooooooh dear.
I'm running out of good reliable glue. .___.;; Fast.
I WANT MY UHU GLUE BACK, DAMN IT. NOT THE TOXIC "KILL CHLOË" GLUE. Fuuu--
Ah well. xD
I got the side pieces painted and glued and have cut out the scales for the back of the dress. C: It's allll coming together~ XD
And now, the wings have been started. .___. SHITS GOING DOWN NOW.
I think I can get it done by the weekend... maybe Monday. And I'll pack it all up on that day so the Tuesday and Wednesday I can just plain relax so I can actually enjoy expo rather than being a stress filled zombie all weekend. xD

SO. Skirt progress. (Posted 16th October 2012)

Last few days have been... stressful to say the least.
I'm slowly getting the different colourful shapes to fit together... God damn I hope this works out. xD

THEY'RE SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE.
YAAAS.
So much foam and paint and lack of oxygen from the damn "Solvent Free" glue. ; 3 ;
Will start on the fingers later on in the night - for now, a coffee break is needed. xD
I'm tempted to try on all my arm make-up for it... (aka BLUE. C:) So I might do that later also. xD FOR NOW you have to deal with a picture of them on my arm for now.

I was planning to make the top piece separate (So it goes up my arm like it does on her sprite...) but that idea fell on its face and broke it's nose. |: So I just ended up gluing it to the bottom part and yeeeah. I might make another arm piece if I have time but for now it'll do. xDDD

Later on it'll be full on work with... maybe the sketch of the wings.
It just sucks I have to make them smaller for the trip down...
This is why I don't like living in Scotland. xD Big cosplays = impossible.

18 days to go! (Posted 9th October 2012)

So due to being at school all day and falling asleep as soon as I got home I really didn't get a lot done tonight...
Quite ashamed of myself really but little is better than none at all. C:
I managed to paint the arm bands (which just need a little touch up and they'll be done!) - Pictures would have been posted if I hadn't been thrown out the kitchen by my dad. |:
I also found the red/brown colour for the main armour on the gloves which will help when I finally get round to painting them. xD
I think tomorrow will mainly focus on the finger and hand pieces on the gloves. Aiming to finish them by tomorrow would be ideal but... Depends how much homework I get I suppose. xD
Might sketch out a pattern for the pieces on the side of the skirt if i'm not too tired. C:

I really like this journal thing - It really helps me plan stuff out. XD Usually I'd get lazy or leave shit till the last minute.

UPDATE ON STUFF I NEED TO DO AND THINGS. (Posted 7th October 2012)

Sooooo.
About 20 days to go.
5 of those days consisting of school.
AND I HAVE FINALLY STARTED ON THE LOWER HALF OF THE OUTFIT. Well, the pattern for it, but it's progress none the less. HAZZAR.
Still debating whether or not to make it out of the foam or change to fabric...
Foam would probably go with the look a lot better but... will it stay in shape and stuff on the day? AND will it curve the way I want when I put the piece together?
Uuugh. THEN THE PAINT.

EDIT: I think I'm going to make a journal entry for every day I actually get round to doing parts of this outfit.
It's just so I can see how much I've done and write down my thoughts. Keep it flowing. C:

Also thinking about elastic for the gloves to attach all the different pieces... Just so they stay on.
