| aha this was a plan me and Little Remedy came up with X3 we wanted to do a harry potter group, but we wanted to do something that wasn't widely done. So we decided on the Hogwarts Founders and do a historic group ^^ I automatically wanted Ravenclaw as I've always loved the Ravenclaw house and think its underloved, not to mention I'm a ravenclaw on Pottermore lol :P Initially this was just a founders group, but now its founders and ghosts and we have a complete set :D Godric Gryffindor - HowlingSilverWolf Rowena Ravenclaw - Me :) Helga Hufflepuff - Little Remedy Salazaar Slytherin - Peri Nearly Headless Nick - Sean The Grey Lady - Chandy Fat Friar - Gaz The Bloody Baron - Gibbo The dress was handmade from about 5 metres of Civelour ^^ It has a dip hem and is longer at the back to have a small train. I made patterns from greaseproof paper and made 7 panels to make up the dress ^^ As I have no sewing machine, the dress was painstakingly sewn together by hand!! I'm so proud of it! Once the main dress was made, I made the sleeves by again making panels using traces from an old pattern i found ^^ Again these were hand sewn and pinned to the dress ^^ I then made the bronze shoulder trim to cover up my sewing and hide any joins ^^ The Ravenclaw patch was a nice little addition too, to hide the join in the bronze at the front ^^ The belt was made from 2metres of bronze ribbon tied around my waist and the same sort of ribbon was used to make the trims ^^ | |
