GraceyDarling and Matt
Well, I started with a pattern which I purchased from a online fabric shop along with some “suiting fabric”, and once it arrived I did some alterations with the help of my grandmother, and measured my size including waist, neck line, arm length, arm circumference etc. My Nan kindly helped me along the way as I am not experienced with patterns and this was my first completely made cosplay from scratch.
I followed the pattern, and began making the blazer. All together it took me roughly 2-5 weeks. After completion I neatened everything up to ensure it looked to a professional standard. I next moved onto adding the white cotton detail which I bought from two fabric shops. I firstly used tailors chalk to mark on the blazer where the white lines will go. Because I used tailors chalk, I was able to rub the lines out easily and edit them without ruining the jacket. After marking all the lines out, I next cut the white strips of cotton lines to the correct lengths and then applied them to the jacket by pinning them in place. Once pinned, I altered them accordingly to ensure everything was even on each side.
Once I was happy that everything was in place and even, I tacked the cotton in place where I could finalise, again that it was in the right place and even. After this I started to sew down the cotton by using my grandmother’s sewing machine, I did it in parts starting with the sleeves which I felt was most challenging as you cannot fold the sleeves flat and also getting it symmetrical to either side: getting it even for both sleeves. Once completed I did the front, then the back, and finally the collar. This took me a further 3 weeks due to work commitments and college.
I next ordered some studs which I felt closely looked similar to the character. The studs had sewing holes on each tip where I was able to sew it on much like a button. This didn’t take me very long. Next I ordered some rose buttons, but they were only in white. Once they arrived I spray painted them silver to match the characters buttons. Again these were very easy to sew on.
I bought a waistcoat rather than make one, but I altered it by adding the white detail and rose buttons. I also made a tie from red ribbon which I purchased from a fabric shop. I did this by using a plain thin tie as a template.

The wig and armband arrived today. The wigs a bit long, but I might trim it or pull it futher back on my head, its already straightend which is good and the fringe is perfect. I'm gonna give it my own touches to make it as good as possible. The armband is great, so colzy I has your armband! ^_^
Making the gun (Posted 16th April 2009)
I bought a toy gun from a local shop and also bought some silver spray paint. I firstly masking taped the handle up as it was brown already and then sprayed the rest of it. I added a few coats to amek it look as real as possible. I next will be adding the logo and bloody rose italic writing to the side of the gun, once the paint it dry

Main Blazer 90% done (without white detail) (Posted 7th April 2009)
Done alot of work to the blazer today. Its all done, just need to make the inside neater. I'm really glad how it is turning out. I bought 5m of the the white detail (white cotton bias tape) and it wasn't enough so need some more. But I attached it with pin and its coming to shape. Once I had pined it all on in the right place, my nan is kindly going to machine it on for me, and help me make it look good.
Making The Blazer (Posted 5th April 2009)
Its about half done so far. The sleves are coming out really well, I've made the sleves a little shorter than my actual arms as I want the white sleves from the shirt to stick out like in the reference pictures. I need to remember to make a slit in the back going up a few inches. I also need to make sure the inside is as neat as possible. But altgother is coming along very nicely. Once completed its time to move onto the bias tape(white detail)
