I remember watching my brother play through this game when I was little, and a quick Google tells me that MGS came out in '98, which would make me 6 years old. That is, if we got it as soon as it came out, I can't remember. even as young as that, I loved Meryl, and I've been attached to her ever since. When I was younger I was a ridiculous tomboy, and when Meryl does her monologue to Snake in the bathroom I was like WHOA SHES JUST LIKE ME LOL I'm planning on doing pure MGS1 Meryl, not the Twin Snakes or anything. Mainly because as of writing this i have a week until the expo so i need to keep things simple.

Nice to see more Meryl Cosplayers :) Looking forward to seeing progress on this because Meryl is clearly the best character in the MG series :D Feel free to drop me a message if you get stuck with any parts but I'm sure you'll be fine because all you other cosplays are epic :D

Gutted I couldn't make it to Midlands with my Mantis costume to see this! If you end up going to MCM in May we definitely have to get some photos :p

Midlands expo! (Posted 14th November 2012)

Deciding that i will do Meryl finally at Midlands 2013. reasons being she looks extremely simple to make, and god knows after plugsuit i need something simple! in a perfect world i would wear my plugsuit, but well, it's not the comfiest thing and one of the shoes came off just from the photoshoot.
BUT THIS IS A JOURNAL ABOUT MERYL.
I'm at university now and i dont have my sewing machine with me, which is another factor in making a simple costume. and i get a month off for christmas which will be plenty of time to get her done.
