Description
I have a friend who will be cosplaying Madoka [in her Puella Magi gear] with me. We're hoping to go on the Friday of October. Hair ribbon: Wide black ribbon, cut to fit head, and pinned into place on wig. Wig: I changed the fringe on my waist-length dark wig. Eyes?: For this I should be able to acquire some clear contact lenses and will be able to see properly. I may photoshop my eyes if I want to make them purple. Black shirt: Black shirt body made, sleeves attached. White trim added to collar, with a grey trim added to the sleeves. White jacket: White jacket body, with a zip up the middle. Sleeves attached to that, with a black trim on the sleeves, and a black trim to the bottom of the jacket, which has diamond shapes to it. Grey collar attached to white jacket, goes over shoulders. Grey collar also has a black design added to it with folded bias binding. Purple bias binding on front of black collar. Purple pleated skirt: Length of purple cloth, which I will add white ruffles to. Then pleat the skirt onto a waistband and wear it under the white jacket. Purple ribbon on back of white jacket. Black edging and diamond design. Small shoes, with a tiny heel to them. Very thick black tights, will paint the diamond design onto them. Soul gem casing made out of clay, probably, spray painted white for a base colour, then painted gold. Soul gem also made out of clay, with purple paint on it and clear nail varnish to add a shine. Alternatively there is PVA glue.

Omfg yes we should when we meet up get like plastic rings or something out of one of those machines in Sainsbury's. I would literally wear it every day.

Post-Expo (Posted 31st October 2012)

WOW.
I have never been so popular at a convention in my entire life! ;v;
Of course that meant I got creeped on a fair bit =A='' but I'm not going to let that dampen my spirits.
I went with the absolute best Madoka, she hand-sewed her entire costume and it looks terrific c: so many people wanted photos of us, and overall we just had so much fun. Roll on May!

Jacket hiatus uwu (Posted 12th August 2012)

Had to fiddle about with the sleeves, they wouldn't fit onto my shoulders properly.
In the middle of tacking the first one now, as I write this entry. They'll be done soon! >:3

Jacket update (Posted 10th August 2012)

Today I shall work on the black trim for the jacket. I shall also make the jacket sleeves, and attach a trim to those, before sewing them entirely onto the jacket.
Then the top half of the cosplay will be done, and I just have the skirt and tights to do!

Wig + Black Shirt (Posted 6th August 2012)

Just trimmed the fringe a little more so it's nice and even, and fit the ribbon onto it. With hair pins behind the ears, it stays onto the hair.

Currently I'm cutting out the pattern for her black shirt. When I've made the body of it, I'll make the sleeves, and fix them onto it. Then it's a case of attaching the collar.

Just tried to make cape. (Posted 25th July 2012)

Gave myself a repetitive strain injury.

About to make grey capelet. (Posted 25th July 2012)

Bought black and grey material at the weekend. I'm going to embark on a quest to make the grey cape/collar/thing when my desk is dry.
