| Edit 15/1/2013. Thanks for all the comments guys! But unfortunately and I'm exceedingly ticked off about this, I haven't got the money to finish this and actually go to the Expo as well. Gah, pretty much typical that once again real life consumes cosplay funds. STARS Chris is getting a revival to go with Mungojerrie's Rebecca Chambers and Piers will hopefully make it to May. Edit 3/7/2012: Having spent the majority of today playing the RE6 demo and playing as Piers himself. This just catapulted itself right to the front of the "To do List!" Edit: 29/8/2012 Depending on time/money, will either be worn to Midlands 2013, or May 2013. Expect progress pics soon! Ever since the first trailer was released I have been given nothing but grief over this. "IT'S YOU!" Everyone says he's my video game doppelganger. I admit I can see similarities, but not to the extent I've been told! XD Either way, soon as I saw the first trailer he was straight on the To Do list. Not sure when he'll get worn, maybe to Midlands if my secret cosplay falls through. | |

Rifle parts and extra Pouches (Posted 21st November 2012) Slowly stockpiling foam, cardboard, glue, Krylon and duct tape (Can never have enough of this!) in preparation for building the rifle. The plan is to try and make it so the whole thing can be broken down into three distinct parts. The barrel, body and scope will all be separate, so the rifle can be broken down/built for transport as I don't fancy taking it on the train whole. Ordered the few pouches that I was missing,the triple mags on the thigh rigs. Bit irksome really because I thought I already had that sussed until I discover that the ones I own are different models. Bleh! |

Not enough cash stranger! (Posted 8th November 2012) I'd been putting money away for this for...damn I don't know how long now. So now with the run upto Christmas and the 1001 other things that I've had to pay for my Piers fund has been drained massively. I forsee a massive post christmas dash to get him ready for Midlands. I've also decided that I'm going to construct his MP-AF alongside the Anti Material Rifle. Fortunately the parts for that I already own, so that's not a issue. Also it makes an alternative to lugging round the rifle and getting potentially yelled at by event staff heh |

Underway! (Posted 29th August 2012) After having scrutinised the demo for everything it has, and spending hours simply rotating about his character model, I'm happy that I'm good to go now! Most of the items required I thankfully already own so there's no issue with them at all. I only need to buy a base for the vest as it's a variation on the one I own, which is a pest otherwise I'd have been laughing. The patches aren't an issue, but the shirt will probably take some time but it'll get done :D I've come to the conclusion also, despite how much I'm probably going to regret it, is that I'm going to make the Anti Material Rifle he uses during the demo. With the exception of the trigger guard/grip/magwell I think I'm going to make it out of varying materials because I don't fancy hacking up Airsoft or Cheapsoft guns to make it. Plus I REALLY DON'T fancy walking around with a full metal one either, no doubt getting me into allot of trouble with british rail haha. How long that takes though....oh boy, subject to debate haha My aim is to wear this to Midlands 2013, otherwise he'll be saved for May 2013. (Or both! But that might be pushing it haha) |
