Òne heck of a big diffrence huh? (Posted 28th June 2012) Paint job on the phaser rubies kit! pulled it apart! sanded, changed and added and now paint job! almost done >,< just needs a re touch up with silver and its finished! sounds great to! |

Phaser Prop (Posted 20th June 2012) Well I will be using a rubies phaser toy prop that isnt amazing I will be honest but its budget to see if I like doing star trek costumes and if so I will replace with a nicer model. The colours are WAY off but I will be giving them a coat of paint and probably replacing the emmiter and crystal rod with something nicer! |

Shirt (Posted 20th June 2012) Will be buying the Costumebase kirk shirt and removing 2 rows of braid to make it Sulu's rank! :) bit of a cheaty but its all I can afford in my price range, sadly paying in excess of 100 pounds for the accurate fabric is a little beyond my means. |

Looking good. :) Do you have a brighter pic? I wanna see the boots and pants you got for this as they are pretty iconic. ^_^
Boots are just tall black heeled boots and pants are just a nice fitting pair of black cotton pants rolled up the mid calf in like in the show, when I get a nicer tunic I will splash out on nicer pants but tbh most people just get black cotton pants and do the roll up ^^
Aha I wondered how you were gonna do the Trek pants look. In the series were they tucked into the boot tops sometimes?
Sometimes yes towords the end of the series. At the beggining they flared slightly at the bottoms and reached mid calf of the boots.
Its funny but in all the fight scenes I dont remember ever once seeing any flash of leg. So even though they are short they manage to cover. I wonder if they are nice and cool to wear on a hot day.. I think you are about to find out, weather is supposed to turn hot over the weekend. :) Bring a plastic rapier and some baby oil - you could do topless Sulu! :P
