| 1/04/2009 sadly not too pleased with it as its ended up as a rushed job, and is now totally ripped to pieces as due to how tight it was it was unbelievably hard to get out of, however this is due to be fixed and then maybe worn to Aya or even October Expo (with much improvements i hope lol) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well have to say i can't believe i fell in love with the anime after watching it for a whole month 5 hours everyday! Plus i haven't done many anime... and this seems like a very fun one to do :) whole body suit will be out of... pleather... and is already proven hard to do! the out come of this shall result in what future costumes i have planned too XD Silver bodysuit- Is a cut out of pleather useing a pattern which i had drawn myself, then stitched together. It is then constructed the same way as my Kadaj Jacket which i wear the suit inside out and then adjust when wearing and here we are! a body tight body suit which is a pain to get in and out of XD Gloves- Hand drawn pattern and then stitched up the silver wiring is pleather rolled up and then bias stitched and then stitched to the glove, then wrapped pleather over the wiring and stitched to glove. The plugs are glue bottle lids which i cup off and then, puncher a hole by burning a screw and stabbing it through. Then thread the pleather wire throgh and seal with hot glue... sticking it to pleather was hard and best way is to have the glue gun burning for a while so the glue is dead hot! then itll defo stick! :D Corset- Hand drawn pattern which is simular to Da Jis top and then cut out of cotton and stitch and add he boning... then using the sewn up cotton as stencil and cut out a whole one from pleather and stitch the cotton to the pleather, then wrap with silver pleather :) sorted :) | |

costume of living HELL! (Posted 21st January 2009) Wooo through weeks of making this costume I have happy to say that I am almost half way through it! wooooo BUT not with trouble and pain throughout the making... having to stitch this by hand and stabbing a needle through 3-4 layers of pleather is quite hard! but i have figured a way to make it easier and its to use the floor and teeth... however the bad part to that is... If your like me forget about the needle and have the needle stab through your figures and i mean right through ahhhh T^T and the other... chipping your tooth... biting the needle to pull it through is NOT as a good idea as i have thought, as i managed to chip one of my bottom tooth... luckily it aint too bad and maybe use a nail file to flat it back up :) lol |

I just so can't believe that your doing this by hand. You so rock! I hate hand sewing so avoid it where ever possible. Seeing your work though is making me really want to practise it again.
