Description
Was actually created and debuted for Nom-Con, a Southern-Ireland convention, but has also been worn at Collectormania 2011, Eirtakon 2011 and London Expo May 2012.

This guy is the one that made me get my hands on a sewing machine, because the whole outfit was hand sewn Xx All the detailing on it was also hand made and hand embroidered, from the mandarin square on the front of his coat, to the necklaces he wore. He was created as an attempt to enter the Eurocosplay, though possibly the most not well known entry. He is from the Chinese story Lu Ding Ji (The Deer and the Cauldron), with the outfit based on the concept art from the MMO Dreaming of the Deer and the Cauldron. I had a few people point me on which direction to look at when it came to his jewellery design and how to make his changshan, but in making it, I did get more acquainted with the story and have done some rather...crazy things with him.

I really enjoy wearing this outfit...except that it is very very warm. Not to be worn at conventions on hot days...though I guess I have not learned that one properly yet, having taken it to two such ^^;

Approximately 2:30 in the video, my masquerade entry at London Expo 2012
