| I originally planned to do a swimmable fin first. But I actually ended up designing a walkable fin while I was designing the first one last year XDDD Though this one will definitely be walkable It's going to also turn into a fill tail whenever I need it for pictures. I'm planning on having it be able to pull up to my knees for walking so you won't be able to see my legs while I'm waking around. Not to mention it's going to be uber sparkly, I'm borrowing little bits and pieces from Traci Hines' mermaid fin as inspiration for my own ^^ | |

Skirt Form Tail :3 (Posted 24th January 2013) The tail itself is mostly made from a mystique spandex material. I wanted it to have a more subtle sparkle instead of going all out fish scale pattern XDDD To be honest I'm really glad I picked this fabric because not only does it have the subtle sparkle I was aiming for but the color is just perfect for Ariel anyway ^^ |
|
Progress Pic 1 (Posted 24th January 2013) I keep forgetting to put my progress pictures in my Journal for my cosplays. T3T It's been finished since this was shot, but I wanted a movie accurate fin :3 So eventually I'm pretty proud of this ^^ |

Main Tail Fabric Official (Posted 1st December 2012) Well...I thought about it for a while. Whether I wanted it to look more..scaley or more shimmery/wet. I liked how this fabric looked so I'm thinking I'm going to go with this Mystique Stretch for my main tail fabric ^^ Plus I think this one looks a lot better in the light, and shimmers just right. Besides, It'll be better to keep it minimal so I can add the sparkles on it later ^^ |

Official Shells Have been Started :D (Posted 7th October 2012) Today was a pretty good progress day today ^^ I actually went to Michaels with my aunt for some quality time with her so I ended up buying all the materials for my new version 2 shells :D I managed to finish one of them tonight :D and honestly it felt good. I really like how this one turned out, and to think It almost died in the oven while I was baking the clay TwT But in the end it lived :D |
