| Okay so, just for funsies, my friends and I wanted to do a big Super Mario group. We already had people shotgunning characters such as Peach, Daisy, Mario etc. but I didn't really want to cosplay any of those characters. But one character I've ALWAYS loved in the games was...Boo. Or Buu Huu, which I've recently learned is the Japanese for Boo. So yus. Thanks to the magic of Gijinka and the fact that Boo is an extremely simple character, I got on board with this very easily. I could recycle other parts of previous cosplays (boots from Tsubaki, arm warmers from Kallen) and I could borrow say...the hat and wig from a couple of amazing friends (Thanks to KP and Orange). Get me a dress and black my eyes up and I'm done! In fact it was so simple it probably worked to my advantage because that's what made it cute ^^. The tongue was actually a last minute thing. I bought some red foam (like the crafting foam, you know you buy it for your kids?) and thought, why not? So I cut out a tongue, drew the detail on with a sharpie and it worked wonderfully. I actually had everyone yelling “Put yer tongue in!” So it was definitely a success. That and the fangs which added to the cute/deadly aspect. And my amazing friends because I wouldn't have been nearly as recognised without everyone else. And we even got to race in invisible Go-Karts! | |

Eye Pain (Posted 15th August 2012) We are now Post Amecon and although the wig and the hat suited fantastically, we had a few teething problems with the make-up. For some reason my eyes seemed to be sore from the day before, and quite watery. so the eyeliner wouldn't stay on, which was annoying to say the least. However after some time and way too many tissues I finally managed to get it to stay. Thank you to everyone who complemented me on the day as it made the costume worth the eye pain! |

Frankenstein Cosplay! (Posted 25th July 2012) So I've tried out the white dress with my Tsubaki boots and my Kallen arm covers, with added fangs. Still need to borrow the hat and the white wig but from what it looks like at the moment this should work well. I drew out a simple tongue on a bit of red foam and cut that out. It actually looks quite good XD. I've also tested out some 'ghostly' make-up. Just basically blacked up my eyes i.e liner and eye-shadow. We shall see how it all works on the day =s |

I love seeing cosplays like this, specially as I'm a big Mario fan-girl! <3
