|I LOVE THIS MOVIE TO PIECES.|
Can't wait to finish this cosplay!!!!
Originally wanted to do this for the Expo in May, but I didn't get my fabric on time :/ Gonna wear it at AnimagiC in Germany and probably Expo in October :D
Had a fun shooting with my friend Franky :D
I still got to change a few things about the cosplay (especially the hair, it's too curly and all over teh place XD) but It's fun being Black Widow :D
Thank you Franky for the incredible picture! <33
Detailed Description of the materials, I used and how I mad everything will follow <3
// EDIT 14/01/2013
OH WOW!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the showcase! I can't believe it!
I take this as an opportunity to finally say more about the costume details, as I promised so long ago!
First of all: the Suit, wig, shoes and accessoires are all self-made :)
The fabric I used is a thick Neopren-like Jersey fabric which I bought online on stoffe.de. Unfortunately they don't seem to sell that fabric anymore. :(
>> Wig <<
I bought this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/C800-65cm-Mittelscheitel-Welle-gelockt-hitzefest-rot-braun-naturlich-Perucke-/130778603468?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D4874007348103990456%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D130725938021%26
Then I cut it and made all the curls with help of a friends. We used hot water, because it makes the plastic fabric bend and keep in shape :) Took quite a while! But I do like the outcome.
>> Suit <<
I used my Black Bat Suit and created my own pattern off it. It's made out of two front parts, two back parts, two sleeves and one collar part. I modified it a bit and then sewed the suit, leaving the sides open. Then I took elastic black band on which I painted the white stripes an sewed them onto the suit. Afterwards I closed the side seams of the suit.
I did the collar last, which didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. I used foam sheeting to make it stand up, since the Jersey fabric wouldn't do that on its own.
