| Mark one: This should be a nice, simple cosplay I can wear for Nemacon that will still be practical. I do a lot of running around doing things for people at Nema so don't want to have my movements restricted like I have with other costumes. I simply refuse to not cosplay. As you might be able to tell from my Ophelia cosplay, I'm just as big a Shakespeare buff as I am a seamstress so I love cosplaying series like this. One of the things I really loved about Romeo X Juliet is that it took (IMO) one of the worst plays he wrote and turned it awesome, and the character improvements to Juliet were great. I plan to make the Capulet sword if I have the time, though if that doesn't get done for Nemacon it's not the end of the world since in the 2+ years I've worked for them I have barely had any time to stop for photos. Mark two: Eventually I want to do this costume complete with the Red Whirlwind disguise so that it can be removed easily for a skit (i.e. shorter wig sewn to hat so it comes off in one go), and hopefully will have Cordelia to accompany me for it. That might never happen. | |
