|After coming finally to a conclusion of who I could cosplay from Game of Thrones (something I've really longed to do for a while now uwu), I asked Dahlia if she would do Joffrey with me and she agreed!|
So I've changed to do the dress she wears in the first episode of the second season TV show to match up with her pimp king getup. It's identical one she wears earlier in the first series, so there are plenty of references I can take from my BRs.

Dress Progress (Posted 23rd May 2012)
The dress is actually finished now, it has a lovely icy green lining. All I need to do is the embroidery, which before Expo I'm only going to be able to do around the collar and sleeves.
Other than that it's just sewing on the snaps and the ribbon and done!
Wig progress #3 (Posted 16th May 2012)
Aaaaand here's the final thing! It's NOT the one in my reference picture, as I'm doing her hair from Season 2 episode 1, which is... Well, less extreme! I just can't be arsed to put up any more reference pictures.
It seems to me from my screencaps that it's almost split into two, with more braids and twists at the front and very asymmetrical. I did the best I could, though... It's not perfect, but it's the first time I've messed with a wig so extensively. 40 bobby pins live inside that thing! I should probably give it a good go-over with some hairspray...
Wig progress #2 (Posted 16th May 2012)
Straightened the wig this evening, it's so lovely and ahdsjkfh I don't want to have to bind it all up ;w;
But here's a before and after of the straightening!
Wig progress (Posted 4th May 2012)
So my wig arrived from Arda today! It's my first lace front wig, and it's bloody gorgeous. So thick and bouncy! It'll almost be a shame to have to tame it up into that crazy 'do... But needs must.
Can't wait to get started on it, though, my first real styled wig! Aaaah!! So nervous!!
Fabric considerations (Posted 30th April 2012)
Between my final hand in and Expo I won't have nearly enough time to embroider the skirt panels by hand... So I've been looking into alternatives.
I found this silk organza with flower embroidery on it. It's an ivory colour and very close to the patterns on Sansa's dress! It's pretty expensive, 100% silk again =___=;;, but if I can hand dye it to match the hue of the dress it'll save me a heck of a lot of time and get the dress that little bit more accurate....
I really want to make a good do of this, so I bought a sample to test out some dyes on and see if I can get it the way I want it. If not then I guess I have a lot of sleepless nights head of me embroidering.....
Photo was taken on my phone, so obviously the colours are a big skewed, the pink material is an awful lot lighter irl and very close in match to the original dress.
