| So due to lack of time/funds I'm unable to do a couple of the costumes initially intended for Kita! D: However with all the leftover fabric from Yuna I came to realise I could use them for a costume that I've wanted to cosplay anyway! :3 (REALLY my first choice would be Bulma Briefs or Goku since I love them so much. <3 But I'd like to save either for when I have more time/When some of my friends decide to do some DBZ cosplay! ;D) I've already made a good start on the costume and gosh its taken so much less time then ANY part of Zeldas! XD; I have a black wig I can dig out and wash for use and I'm hoping none of the costume gives me any problems! I am so ready to scold the heck out of my husband and son(s) <3! To be worn on Sunday with the rest of the DBZ peoples. <3 Edit: Just realised this is going to be my first time making trousers rather then modding some! O: Hope its not too hard! XD | |

Trousers + Shoes. (Posted 2nd April 2012) Ok so trousers are just your standard elasticated type! Finished now, nothing too complicated making wise thankfully. I just looked at my pajamas for some sort of reference pattern wise. Shoes are super cheapo boots from Primark :D Covered with red and still in the process of covering the rest in white! After making these boots I just want to make a pair like Goku's instead! XD; |

Coming along... (Posted 22nd March 2012) So the dress just needs some frog clasps at the top, not sure whether to purchase these or try making my own! Maybe I'll go for the latter and see what happens... Also need to shape the bottom part a little and add more red bias. After that it's just the red band that goes around the dress, which I'm thinking I'll make seperate just so I can possibly arrange creases within it myself and sew them in place. Armwarmer things I'm thinking of padding so they look a little more cartoony. Same for the boots...shoes arent really my speciality though so I'll just see what I can do! XD; |

Thankyou! Dress is made out of blue drill cotton, first bought it for Yunas skirt until I realised her skirt was PURPLE not blue! Doh! I did consider something more silky since its a chinese style dress and all, but after thinking it over I thought matt colours just seem to work a lot better with the nature of the series/way the characters are drawn.... if that makes sense... XD;

I completely agree that the matt fabric is perfect for this. I don't envision Chichi wandering around in a silky dress either. It would be too, well, expensive looking if that makes sense, and not conducive to sparring. Your choice is perfect.

o god this is awesome! You look like you're about to unleash the fury on everything in your progress pic. Agreed re: the matt fabric. Also, reading your costume info, absolutely you need to do a Goku cosplay. HAVE to. It is mandatory nostalgia. Bulma too, no doubt that would look fantastic, but Goku would be, well...you just have to, k? But heck, point made. XD
