| Overly Ambitious? Moi? Never! Between the books and the HBO series, I've fallen in love with GoT! I can't help but be completely enthralled by the entire saga, which is why I opted to try and put together a Dany costume. I'm actually a bit nervous about this one, especially since there's skin that I don't usually show (which in my case is riddled with scars.) but in the interests of bravery I'll stick it out! The first top I've actually made is constructed from the remnants of a herringbone wool pair of trousers. I'm sort of loving the weave, and the fact it doesn't scratch like something possessed, but I'm treating it as a prototype, and possibly lining for a hessian version. There's also a skirt along with it, made of faux suede and a pair of uber-comfy linen pants. But I have yet to actually finish those! | |
