Pre-Expo Photoshoot (Posted 25th May 2012)

So the outfit is complete (Minus the necklace, but I didnt have time or the money left over to attampt to make it and I wasnt too keen on buying the official replica for £160+)
So yeah, Yesterday I went over to TheHiddenAssassin's House to do a Photoshoot with some friends, and ofcourse we just HAD to pick the Hottest day so far to do it! :O
I was overheating even before I got to her house! so yeah, that would explain the shiny pictures xDDD
But regardless, we had loads of fun, the whole shoot lasted like 4 hours! xDD (We did photoshoot our other friends too, in total, all 4 of us were included and we did group shots etc. ^^)
It was great fun! I'm uploading only few on here though because I need to save room for some Expo photo's xP

Make-up Test (Posted 21st May 2012)

Right i Have done the Make-up test, And it doesnt look too bad actually!
I litterally did the best with what I have sooo here is a rundown of what i did:

Applied a thin layer of Nivea Moisturising Cream all over my face.
Then added Foundation (Rimmel Match Perfection, 100 Ivory)I applied this all over my face and used a tiny bit on my forehead (I dont often apply it on my forhead) and dabbed some above my eyelids.
I then applied some Blusher (From AVON, Its a very light/peachy colour)
Then I moved onto my eyes, I first put on some white/cream Eyeshadow onto my eyelids and then added a thin layer of brown above the eyelid and then blended them together.
I then used a light brown eyeshadow around the edges of the bottom lid.
After that I then used a brown glimmerstick eyeline on the bottom lid and then used a black eyeliner on the top lid and flicked it out a tad to make the eyes seem wider and more lifted.
I then used the balck eyeline on the inside of the bottom lid just to fill in the gaps.
Then I used some white eyeshadow in the inside corner of the eye socket.
After that i used a thin layer of peach eyeshadow just to brighten it up a bit and add more colour.
Then used black lash lengthening mascara on the top and bottom set of lashes.
After that I then moved onto my lips, all I used was a light peachy lipstick and then went over it in a ultra shiny lipgloss to give it a more.. well... shiny look xD

Sooo yeah thats it!
The picture doesnt even pick up most of the colours cos I used my webcam again because i lost my camera which had the original make-up test on xDD

And yeah, Im not an expert,so I just did what I thought looked okay xD

Done (Well, for the most part ^^; ) (Posted 17th May 2012)

I think I am pretty much finished!
I am not going to even attempt to make the necklace so i will leave that until another time (Probably for when i decide to wear this again ^^; )
Sooo, I have ltterally JUST finished lacing up the shoes, they are black 140cm boot laces from Timpsons, its funny how just a simple change of laces can make the shoes look completely different (Thats my opinion anyway xD)
I also bought some lipstick today, £2.99 from SuperDrug (Not exactly a replica colour, but i wanted to buy something that i will use again) I also got 2 bandages fromSuperdrug, 99p each and i got a new wig cap from my local fancy dress shop for just £2.25.
So yay! I will move this into 'Complete' once i have done the photoshoot before Expo ^0^

Stockings + Hold Ups + Leg Attachment! (Posted 16th May 2012)

Hooraaaaay!
I bought some ribbon today and some Polythread, So basically here is what i did:
I wrapped the Polythread around my thigh, cut it at the right length and then sewed the ends together, I then go the ribbon, wrapped that around the Polythread (Whilst on my leg) 3 times (Because it was more transparent than i thought ^^; )then sewed that to hold it in place at the ends, then i sewed a couple of area's on the Polythread to keep it from sliding down a bit (Not all over or else the elastic wont stretch) and then stapled the craft foam leg attachment to the ribbon! i dont know how strong they are but they will do (If they break on the day then i wont be that bothered, they were fun to make ^^)
The ribbon btw, is a subtle, sparkly silver to represent the kind off metalic ones she actually wears xP

So yeah! im quite proud of them! they took about 1 hour to do both (I made so many mistakes! i guess my sewing skills are a little rusty ^^; )

The Cosplay (Posted 13th May 2012)

I Bought this from Ebay due to lack of a sewing machine and general sewing know-how (I can only sew/adjust small things ^^; )
So yeah, this is what it looks like, i am really impressed with the quality of it and its really pretty ^0^
I got it in a Medium size (Im glad i did too :O) I almost bought it in a Small because of the sizing chart but i thought i better go for one size bigger just in case and oh lord was that the best decision i EVER made xD I put it on and i was like "It fits well, perhaps im not as small as i used to be" (This is the truth xDD) But then my sister tried it on (She is a skinny 12 year old) and it almost fit her perfectly! the skirt was a bit loose but the shirt and shrug thing was almost a erfect fit, a bit baggy around the bust and shoulder area, but that proves that Sizes from China really are smaller than expected :O
So yeah, i must say though, with the stockings, heeled converse and tiny skirt... i look kinda slutty xDD (With the wig on though it looks less slutty because i look more in character x3)

BATTLE OF THE BANDS! (Posted 12th May 2012)

Sooo, Im not sure which one i want to use anymore D:
The one on the left of the picture is the pre-made one that came with the Cosplay, the one on the right is the one i made, but i dont know which one i want to use!!!
The Pre made one is better quality and there is less chnce o it breaking or falling off but the one i made is more accurate in size and pattern (In my opinion anyways XD) but its more likely to irritate my skin due to tghe masses of tape inside and the pointy corners from the card, so opinions are much apreciated! ^^

The Leg... Ummm... Uhhh... Attachment? xD (Posted 7th May 2012)

Well this is the Leg Attachment (Or whatever its really called xD) I made it out of Craft Foam.
Basically, I Bought an A4 Sheet of Craft Foam and cut it into a rounded Diamond Shape, i then got a small, shallow breakfast bowl and put the diamond shaped foam piece on it, then i got my hair dryer and put it on full power (More heat) and used it on the foam to heat the it up for about 30 seconds - 1 minute then as soon as i turned the dryer off i quickley put my hands on the foam to mould it around the bowl to make the rounded shape (I kept my hands on the foam for about 30 seconds, basically, just hold it on until the foam has cooled down so it will take the shape) This took a few tries because i was reading a tutorial on how to shape craft foam because i had never moulded craft foam before, so i took a few practice runs =]
Once it was in the shape i was happy with, i then got my gold paint and painted around the edges of the foam and 0once that was dry i shaded the inside edges in with pencil to gove a bit of a 3D effect xP
I say it turned out pretty good, all i need to do is get some ribbon to attach it to and then attach that to the stockings ^^

Bracelet! (Posted 29th April 2012)

YESH!
I have made the bracelet, even though i wasnt sure if i was even going to make it ^^;
But i took a trip to the Range today in hopes of getting some foam and paint for the leg attachment (Which i did, i got 2 A4 sheets of foam and some gold paint) But just as i was thinking of leaving i found a whole rack of beads and jewels (Which i think are new because i havent seen them in there before xD) So i got a set of Red white and Blue Beads, 1 roll of Nylon Thread, but then i was stuck for the big jewel that sits in the middle, so i went round the shop and found the Earthsurf (or whatever they were called xDD) Jewelery, and i found an Amethyst keyring (Was the closest colour to what i was looking for because they were all out of Ruby, but even then i think the ruby would be TOO red xP) So i got home, cut the amethyst stone from the chain and began making the bracelet!
There are so many different refference pictures out there, i didnt know what to pick, so i mixed it up a little bit ^^
So its not exact but it will do the job and its quite pretty anyway so yeah xD

Shoooooes! >w< (Posted 18th April 2012)

I am so excited about these shoes! i didnt think i would find anything like these, i was willing to settle for some plain Converse type shoes (But all the Converse i found were around £40 :O) So after about 10 different shops i began to lose hope, i was thinking of just settling for my old black converse, but then i went into New Look (not thinking i would find anything like it in there)and there they were! In all there Glory!!! They arent perfect or exact but i LOVE them! For the both the cosplay and for me in general >w<
I know the heel is not the right kind of heel (these being a white and wedge type and serahs being just a normal black Heel)
So i loooked at the price and thought "Hmmmm.. £19.99.. I should get them anyway, im not gonna find anoymore like these around" so i told my dad and he was hesitant but understood what i meant so we went to the till and she said "... That will be... £6 please" I was like WHAAAAT!? >w<
So now i feel even better about possibly painting over them xD
My dad doesnt want me to paint them though because he said they look quite close to the originals anyway and if i Bugger it up then im left with my old black crappy converse xD

Sooooo thats the story behind the shoes xDD (Lol i raaammbble >.>)

Armband Almost Finished! (Posted 9th March 2012)

This happened alot sooner than i thought!!!
There a few parts on the band that are still drying from the paint which is why i am not waering it in the picture.

I have decided that it will be pointless to paint the inside of the band (But i havent worn it since painting it yet so i might change my mind and paint the inside)

Anyway, I have glued down all the parts that stuck up, i started using ordinary super glue but that wasnt as 'Super' as i had hoped, so i was digging around in the cupboard and found some super Presicion glue which was soooo much stronger, i ended up glueing the band to the kitchen roll i had layed on the worktop a few times but i manged to get it off before the glue had fully set.

All i need to do is fully attach both ends together with glue or fastners (probably glue xD) and then add the metalic button like thingies which i will do later =D

Armband Has Been Started! ^0^ (Posted 8th March 2012)

I had no idea that making the armband would be so frustrating!!!
I had been following an online tutorial and at first i thought it would be a 30 minute job but.. NO... it took the best part of 3 hours (I did get distracted though, by American Idol xP)

Well anyway, this is my first attempt at the armband (will possibly do another one after this is glued and painted, but if this one looks good enough then i will just keep this one xP)

Well basically i cut out 15-25 small Rectangle pieces of card and attached them together in a way that creates a crosshatch effect, i started using double sided tape but that was a bit of a bitch being both time consuming and frustrating and it wasnt very sticky so i decided to just tape (Normal tape) them together from the back (the part that wont be visible)

I am yet to glue down the parts that stick up and paint it (I have the acrylic paint already, its a nice redy, purpley, brown xD i cant remember what it was actually called -Shot-)

Because i got lazy half way through the corsshatch effect isnt continuous, so i think i might cut little squares of card and stick them in the middle of each rectangle so it will look better xP

Hopefully i will be able to continue it tomorrow, or sunday (I haz work on saturday =P)
