| This came about during a side project I was working on for a friend. She asked me to make her a Greek styled dress and I fell in /love/ with the fabric I was using, so when I finished it and had plenty left over I got excited about making something for myself. I'm obsessed with A Song of Ice and Fire book series and I quite like the TV show too, so being a big nerd I thought I'd have a crack at a Daenerys' styled cosplay. A lot of the final piece will be a sploosh together of my imagination, details in the books and inspiration from the TV series :) | |

Finished (Posted 28th March 2012) LIKE A BOSS I actually completed a cosplay in time for the intended event. I even finished padding my Alduin statue's claws and (like an insane perfectionist) painting his eyes gold like the book's description. Though obviously with my luck the weather is forecasted to drop down to just 13 degrees for Saturday. I didn't want to take a jacket. Fffffff. D: Hopefully pictures up post Saturday. |

Makeup and other inane stuff (Posted 8th March 2012) My favourite makeup box/friend came round yesterday and as usual attacked my face. It turns out I'll probably have to do my makeup myself because Kristie doesn't understand the word 'natural'. I also started to make a crown because Kristie wouldn't get off the Xbox. Only did the wiring for the three dragon heads*. Hopefully I'll get it done between playing Mass Effect 3 but I can't promise myself anything. *Edit, the wiring looked like rubbish. Instead, in the end I brought three toy dragons from the Entertainer, sawed the heads off (not creepy at all), glue gunned them to a wire ring, used clay to add extra thickness and cover up any glue, and painted it. |

Hair Colour (Posted 3rd March 2012) To anyone with light blonde hair whose doing a future Dany cosplay, I totally recommend Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo. It basically takes all the yellow out of blonde hair and leaves it silvery white. It does wash back out after a few washes as well so you don't have to keep it that way. Its good stuff but will stain your hands purple if you leave it on too long. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fudge-Clean-Blonde-Violet-Shampoo/dp/B003Z922MC :) |

Close to finishing already (Posted 27th February 2012) I actually didn't need to do much for this. I finished the dress within two days so I'll get some pictures up of it completed very soon. And I've already got some silver and gold sandals to wear with it as well as some purple and silver brooches and jewellery. Hair and make-up is also pretty easy as my hair is still a silver colour and I was going to buy some extensions anyway. Purple contact lenses are still in my possession since my Megara cosplay. Really all I've got to do is stick on more frilly bits like maybe an arm band or, or, or... something? :) Come at me, March! |

That fabric is indeed pretty. It is looking good =D
Love the fabric. Looking forward to seeing this complete.
Beautifull dress! Love the drape and cut of this. Nice work. :)
Stunning
Wow, for Memorabilia! Which day? I might have a chance of seeing this irl. :)
So pretty! Good idea for using Alduin as Drogon, I was actually thinking of doing the same! :')
I'll be at Memorabilia on the Saturday; two actors from the TV adaptation will be doing signings that day. So tempted to get Hodor's just because.
Alduin makes a very good fake Drogon! Though I'm going to have to wrap his claws in something to stop the cutting up of my shoulder.
You could always wrap his claws in offcuts of the dress? Then it might look like he's got tattered pieces in his claws from scampering around LOL
This is looking great so far! There's a few of us attempting ASOIF costumes for Kita as well!
^ that!
The offcuts idea sounds great
Love the dragon!
You look just like her! cannot WAIT to see this your gonna be perfect!
DANY!!!!!!! looking Awesome :D
You look amazing!
Thank you! :3
This was great! I missed getting a picture during the con and to my own dismay! Hope you wear this again some time soon, it's such a beautiful costume!
