Tira was originally for the Soul Calibur V Namco competition, though I had a few details missing from the costume at the time (apparently I came within the top 10, though they didn't give me exact details). Tira has always been my favourite Soul Calibur character, her fighting style and fluid movements, as well as her character complexity has always attracted me. ...I'm making that sound more intelligent than it really is. The reason I love her is that she's BITCHINGLY AWESOME. The hardest part of the costume was definitely Eiserne Drosself, I wanted to make it the right size in comparison to my height, as well as contouring it in the same way Tira has it. I also wanted to keep the costume within the £100 pound mark, and considering that I would have had to buy a belt sander if I wanted to make it out of wood, which is £40 to begin with, I chose to make is out of cardboard. The fun part was definitely the skulls and the wig, which though both were challenging, I felt they were the best parts of the costume.
