|Cost :||about £70 for the model magic, paints, gloves and wig|
|The Mask is made out of Crayola Model Magic (which is, if you excuse my language, a complete bitch to mold) and painted with acrylics. I had to mix my own colour because the colour I wanted to use was only in a small tube and I wouldn't have enough. Yes, I did screw up with the colours, hence the reason it resembles a pumpkin.|
Anyway, I did a coat of white, 2 coats of pumpkin and coloured the swirls with black. If you look carefully at the pictures you may see where I slipped and got some black on the orange ^^;;
Elastic added! but it looks weird and hurts my nose D:
The rest of the costume is my Akatsuki Itachi, but with a wig (by LuluRose) a pair of gloves and my nice new ninja sandels.
I also added a few bit's to it but I wont mention it because it involves some spoilers!
This costume was the one I wore for Kitacons Masquerade XD However I weren't sure about how the character acts since I had only read the later chapters of Naruto, and my friends just said "Act hyper and childish" so I figured I would skip. I ended up tripping up tho, which was embarrassing. Also I thought it was a good idea to headpoke my mum on the way past, which I kinda regret doing because a) it embarassed her and b) it got filmed. Totally forgot about the camera lol
So, the moral of this story is, if you want to cosplay a character for a masquerade, make sure you know how they act so you can get into character easily. Not doing so will make you look a fool.
Downsides of this cosplay include hurting nose, walking into people/walls/doors etc. and random cosplayers/people wanting to poke you in the eye.
NOTE TO SELF: Ring is worn on LEFT THUMB, NOT RIGHT! Right thumb is Peins!
