|This was my very first ever cosplay, and I entered the world of cosplay hardly knowing anything about it.|
After being encouraged to try cosplay, I decided to have a casual makeup test with dreadful blue eyeshadows knocking about in my makeup box and yielded surprisingly good results for such meagre makeup. So I decided to go ahead and make the whole costume
The first attempt was messy and dreadful, missing a wig and looking rather bare.
The second attempt was much better but the wig was hand-braided and made the outfit look rather messy.
The third and final perfection was a huge success for a very cheaply sourced rookie cosplay.
The bodysuit is hand painted with fabric paint mixed and loaned kindly by my textiles department at my old college. My ever-tolerant friends helped me paint in on (in a tiny bathroom the day before I was due to wear it, getting high off the paint fumes xD).
The ears are cheap fancy dress ear tips customised with acrylic paint.
The wig is an ebay find, modified with beads and two black plait extensions braided together, with some pink wool strands for the tsyhaylu bond.
The necklace is an old chain link belt modified with destroyed dream catchers and some of my own parrots moulted tail feathers.
The belt is a Primark find with added accessories, and the loin cloth is a Primark pillowcase combined with a belt.
The bow is non-functional and purely for display purposes. The dagger is a plastic cheap bit of merchandise that needed some serious painting to make it look anything like the original movie prop.
The makeup is what I'm mainly proud of, I'm uploading a tutorial to Youtube soon enough.
