|I love the Peach Girl TV series, It is most deifnatly my favourite anime/manga! So obviously I wanted to cosplay as Momo for the Midlands MCM Expo in March/April. However I was so gutted when I realised it is IMPOSSIBLE to buy an official costume in the UK. |
So I decided to make one. However I have never been good at any form of sowing or "arts and crafts" so no doubt it would fall apart within minuits of having made it :S
So I am making mine completely from secound hand clothes. (Kinda cheating)
So far I have bought:
I bought a Blue Tartan mini skirt from Ebay.co.uk for £8 (Bargin!)
I got long knee length black socks from my wardrobe, However I think I got them from Primark a while back for £2
After hours of searching Ebay.com I found a (almost)identical school bag, to Momo's for only £4
I will most probaly wear my old school shoes, which are just plain black shoes. However they are identical to Momo's inside school shoes.. except not white these are from clarks and cost around £50
As for the Knitted school jumper I have realised it is very hard to find one the same (or similar to Momo's summer school jumper) so I have got my Gran (who is an amazing knitter) to knit me an identical jumper. I only hope it's ready in time and fits :L
Finally I will buy a short sleeved white school shirt from the local charity shop. This will hopefully only cost around £5
This means overall my cosplay will cost £69
Although I will also be dying my hair the same colour as hers and potentialy get it cut the same.
Although it will probally cost £69 I will deduct £52 for the items I already have in my house. Bringing the total cost to £17... A bargin if I may say so ;)

Jumper Update (Posted 4th February 2012)
As you may know I have kindly asked my Gran to knit me a replica jumper to wear to comic con (MCM Expo).
Today I heard that she is about half way to finishing it. So Gran if your reading this thanks a bunch and your awesome xxx
The Skirt has Arrived!! (Posted 25th January 2012)
Today my skirt arrived in the post for my costume! And it fits which is great because it was a £8 bargin!
However as you can see in my pictures I will need to alter the buckles and the ruffles :D But appart from that and a slighty wrong colour skirt it's all good.
