Costume Information

Description
Just felt like being a Holmes, and seeing as Mycroft's my favourite, I figured I'd give him a go. This one's more of a closet!cosplay at the moment than anything, but if it turns out to go down quite well then I will eventually work up to getting a new suit and perfecting it.

Costume's done. Just got to work on the hair a bit. Gel is still a little faily (DAMN MY HAIR)

Ohh this is the first cosplay I've seen from my newest favourite TV series! And you did a very nice job from what we can see so far, that jacket looks exactly like the reference! =O

Really? There's plenty of Sherlock cosplays out there. Two dear friends of mine make a great Sherlock and Lestrade. I'm glad you like what you see so far though, I can't wait to get it finished!

AHH. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS LEVEL OF AWESOME. *fanboys for a good few minutes*

I'm sure why, because you have mad skillz but you suit a three-piece suit /so well/! I think that the hair works great, even though you said you might need to change the product, the style is really good for him.

You really do look like you could run the British Government and still make it in time for dinner with Lestrade. ;) I hope to see it in person at some point!

Ah ha! :'D Thank you!

Oh thanks, I actually love wearing my three-piece suit (which is actually 2 two-piece suits used together but ssssh.) I'm glad you think it suits me. And cheers! I think it is just a case of finding a product that can hold my hair, its always been a bit of an issue anyway XD

Haha oh good! ;D Yes saving the world and dinner with Lestrade, its such a hectic schedule! We shall see, I may wear it to LFCC if I do Sherlock one day, depends if I can bear the three-piece in July ;D

Thanks so much for the fanboying, haha! <3

Ah, you pull him off well!! :D It makes me so happy to see people cosplaying from BBC Sherlock as I love it so much. (Especially as I myself couldn't manage to pull off any of the characters, so it makes me happy seeing others do it!)

Update (Posted 2nd March 2012)

Well I managed to crudely change the handle colour using some left over cardboard and sellotape. I'll update it with something else if I get a chance, but for now it should work just fine.
I also now have a pocket watch, which I ordered off Ebay as well as a binder, which means I should be able to take some pictures of this cosplay practically finished on Sunday so long as I can find some decent gel/wax/hair product to hold my hair.

Progress (Posted 25th January 2012)

For Mycroft I'm going to use the suit I already have with my waistcoat and white shirt. I'll see how it goes with that, and then if I find cosplaying Mycroft fun, I'll get the grey suit or something and have another go.
I've already got the umbrella, just need to do something to the handle to change it from black to brown. And get hold of a tie pin and a pocket watch, then we'll see how it goes.
