Costume Information

Time Taken : 3 weeks

This Lady Oscar costume is the white version seen in the Anime and in the Manga and also based on the action figure. I swear something on her costume changed with each page so as much as i wanted to nail this 100% chances are i left something out or added something that wasnt there...(sorry im really anal retentive about costumes) but i used my best judgement on most of it since the original manga was black and white.

Oscar wears this in her youngers years as the captain of the french guard and also as a ballroom uniform which she takes rosalie to versailles in.

This costume was made from a recycled cosplay ( it was a plain white long coat) that I found second hand at Mandarake in Tokyo. I altered the jacket, painted all the filigree by hand and made all the accessories from recycled ribbons, bias tape, lion board, clay, ect.

I know of the series, but have never seen it. Looking at the costume now makes me want to hunt it down. Damn it is pretty.

Absolutely beautiful. You've captured her character very well, I think.

Thanks everyone for the comments. If you have not read the series yet then I HIGHLY suggest doing it. I thought it would be kind of boring since it is a very old series but I was blown away by the quality of the artwork and the story itself. Its totally worth reading if you can get your hands on a copy. Again thanks for the comments! Vive La France!
