| So, this one was a semi-secret. Made it to join in with Angelphie and Ashe's Zooniverse Boosh group/skit. It was worrying how in character I got at times, it wasn't hard, tbh and Sian decalered me a "Young Bob Fossil". lol. I'm aware that I look quite a lot like Rich Fulcher, which was part of the reason I chose Bob and, not say, Naboo. Also, I love him to bits. I had no idea what I was doing, so I made a shift dress with a cut-open front, added sleeves, a collar, buttons/buttonholes, etc and then faked the rest with stitching. First colloar like that, first buttonholes, first epaulettes, first pockets, first toggle-y-thingys; did quite well considering that and they were my first solo sleeves (which I actually made too well and had to tighten. lol) and collar. My mum helped with my James jacket, this I did on my own. Also, I was working with a brand new sewing machine, which I'm still figuring out. Dead chuffed with how it turned out. It would've been better if I hadn't left it until the last minute, but I'm proud of it nonetheless. I had no trousers, cos I attempted to make them from scratch at 3am-ish the day before I had to go to Expo... yeah, I is smart. As Angie says though, it is one of the few cosplays you can forget your trousers for and get away with it. lol. I had loads of fun wearing this. Seriously though, you did a really good job with this. It's actually strangely difficult to get something to fit badly on purpose and you got just the right degree of slightly-too-tightness. Plus, disturbingly in character ^_^
Thank you. :D I actually had to make the sleeves tighter cos they were too good originally. lol. I think the fact I made it up as I went along and made it on myself without the use of a pattern meant that I could see when I had to take bits in.
There are just some costumes that once you put them on you can't help yourself. Also, I'm a bit like that anyway when hyper. lol.
