Description
I originally started the costume about two years ago, and decided that I had to really up my game in the cosplay world and try to do something more, elaborate and well... Shiney! I love Kate, and her personality so out of all of the characters I wanted to create her costume around the base that I had already began.

I used a lot of other cosplay pictures that others had when dressed as Kate for some sort of inspiration, since a lot of the Kate artwork that I studied was a little in-consistent, but only in the minor and slight details.

I think the hardest part was trying to get the bottom of the dress into a position where you might be able to see the petticoat as well, without ruining the main pattern of the dress. This was also my first time working with craft foam to create props and things, and all in all I found it pretty neat, a little tedious to wait for the different layers of glue to try, but the painting and weathering process was worth it~

Wearing it was a little differently, taking pictures you have to make sure everything is facing the right way and THEN pose! Ahh so many shiny things~ Though one down-side is many people haven't heard of the manga or anime, so a few just smile and nod, but that's fine too~
