Blame Yuka. No, more realisticaly, I saw Justin, there was a Soul Eater group planned for Auchinawa, I knew I had to make him. She forced my hand and I got him finished for Expo instead (mostly). Plus, like all Soul Eater characters the guy is a bit of a spakker and will be great fun to mess around as. The robe came together nicely, as did the poncho in the end, the hat had repeated failings but I will be improving it for Auchi. For my first time playing with clay, I feel the cross came out pretty well, I shall touch it up somewhat before rewearing though.

Day 2 (Posted 21st October 2008)

Pinned the collar to the poncho, but can't get it to sit right, shelved that to work on later while I do other bits.
Sewed the basic robe (sans sleves), cut, prepared and pinned the grey cloth for the front. Trying to decide if I want to bother with functional buttons on the front or not, buttonholes annoy me.

Having collected fabric together, today I made the poncho, save for the collar which I shall do tomorrow hopefully.
