Description
I've been wanting to make a costume for a while to prove to myself that I can make well-contructed costumes. I recently restarted FFVI and I've found myself very attatched to Terra. I love her character and her design is gorgeous.

Flowers (Posted 26th July 2012)

The most difficult part of this costume was working out how to do the flower detail. I find it rarely works well when they are painted on, and I just do not have the patience for all that embroidery. So I've experimented with a mix of many techniques, and I'm pretty pleased with how it looks! It just takes a very very long time.

Hair bits (Posted 30th April 2012)

Today I made the boy for this wig and added some beads. I tell you, the trimming on that bow was a nightmare to stitch on, and there's a bit of embroidery on there too, but I'm not sure you can see it too clearly in the photo. I'm currently making the band piece that goes on the back of her head, and the earrings, and then onto the bodice (:

Wig (Posted 28th February 2012)

I just wanted to show everyone this.
I spent some time experimenting with this wig the other day. I wanted the wig to be kind of curly, but wild. I also dislike the massive bangs at the front. So I messed around with my curling tongs, knowing that the heat would fry the wig, but this gave it the exact wild look I wanted. I think I'm going to put some red beads in it soon, and play around with the head pieces.

Wig styling (Posted 23rd December 2011)

I wasn't quite sure which colour to go with for the wig. I do like the in-game green, but I also like the blonde. I decided to go for the blonde in the end because it will go better with my skin colour, and I think I got really lucky with this wig colour. The styling itself was really tricky, having to tie it up in a high ponytail! But I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Had to do a fair bit of wefting, and I might still play around with the curls a bit.

Makeup test (Posted 7th December 2011)

Today I decided to experiment with makeup. I wanted to go more for the 'Amano' look with my makeup, which was tricky considering my eyes are all the wrong shape, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! My camera made me look a lot paler than I actually am. I may attempt to make myself paler when I wear this, but that depends on how the makeup looks with the rest of the costume. Really want to style the wig now, but finding one the right colour, length and thickness is a nightmare!
