| Well, I'm a bit obsessed with Disney and as Sleeping Beauty is one of my favourite films and I love Aurora's costume I decided to do it. Plus hardly anyone does the blue version of this dress even though it's blue during most of the film. And the blue was better anyway. I originally made this costume for London Expo in May in 2007 but I didn't like it so I remade it to wear at the Amecon ball in 2008 Sooo many problems came up with this D: Thankfully I started on it around christmas time so I had almost all the skirt material but when I decided to make the skirt fuller and get material for the bodice I discovered that EVERYWHERE that previously had the material now had it in a lighter shade so I couldn't get anymore. My old Aurora skirt is now my Glinda skirt but thankfully at the bottom of the old skirt there was just enough material to use for the bodice but no luck with the skirt :/ very annoying because I don't like how it sits very much. It turned out much better than my last version but unfortunately the zip on the bodice is awful because it was all I could get last minute and the white bit on the bodice wouldn't cooperate. I think next time I'll try using craft foam covered in material since both times so far I've used strong interfacing and it hasn't sat properly. Those two little things are VERY annoying because otherwise I love how it turned out. | |

I loooooove Aurora from Sleeping Beauty!!! I love the dress, and am sooo glad you picked the blue dress rather than the pink - it's ten times better :D
The hair and crown really make this dress. Really well done :)
Aurora is just my FAVOURITE Disney Princess. Really nice job on the dress :3 I think the blue one suits her more.
