| I love Beyond Good and Evil and realised that there just haven't been many cosplays (or at least good ones) of Jade, so I want to give it a go. I'd love it if I could get a Pay'j but it'll be incredibly difficult to do unless someone's short, large and a master at prosthetic pig helmets. I've started research and am planning how to do the costume. Finding thick dark green fabrics might be tricky and I want to make the ends of the staff glow like in the game. I plan to have this done in time for Minami, but I want to get it complete before the end of February because of plans for my other cosplay (which is going to be a surprise) I've already found a wig: http://www.wonderlandwigs.co.uk/product/black-wigs/porzia-short-black-spiky-layered-flicked-ladies-wi.ashx UPDATE: I've decided to improve this costume and re-wear it at the London MCM Expo 2012 and also enter it into the masquerade. Re-doing Jade (Posted 21st April 2012) There were a lot of things wrong with my Jade cosplay and I really want to improve on it. I've decided to enter it into the London MCM Expo Masquerade on the Sunday in May. Before then I need to improve the belt (including making a back holder for the staff), a staff that lights up (determined to make it light up), and improve the trousers and tidy up the jacket. I began improving some of the stuff today but have run into a wall already. The pattern on the side of the trousers was pretty poorly done as it was rush job at 1am the day before Minami. So I decided to make a new pattern and sew it on, but the one I've made don't cover all the paint -_- And I can't get the acrylic off without ruining the fabric. I know I'm probably being really anal about the details, but like my Horo coslay, I want the work I create to be perfect. If it's not, then I need to improve it and wear it again. Which is great because I like wearing my costumes more than once and it's a good excuse to do so. Also, because Jade was a rush job before I didn't take ANY progress pics. Not good for a competition. So I'll take progress pics this time of my improvements and put them online :) |

can't believe it took me so long to realise who you were cosplaying XD I'm such a div some times, this was awesome, kinda hoping theres some more do-able characters in the next one :)

Your wig and jacket are awesome! If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about styling the wig and making the jacket? I cosplay Jade as well, & it's interesting that we both want a working dai-jo 8D Really hope I'm around to see you masqerade this on the Sun of Expo!!
