| Okay, i'm going to answer the little questions it suggests I answer, aha. Why did you choose to make it? - Because I love Tavros as a character, and I kind of relate to him in a lot of ways. I started roleplaying him, and he became my favorite character. I thought he'd be fun to cosplay, and I was right! What was the hardest part? -Probably the horns. There are fantastic tutorials out there, but I didn't have much money I could spend and a lot of materials people use are only sold in America. So on the night before Expo, I spend a good few hours paper-maché-ing around a really poor set of fancy-dress bull horns I bought online. They ended up with a flat back to the horns, and I plan to make new ones soon. What was the easiest part? -His jacket and shirt! I only had to dye and old jacket I had which was originally a light blue. And the shirt was painted on using acrylic paint; I used a stencil I made too, my painting isn't that precise! Aha. What did you learn from this? -Wigs are hard to cut and style. Never again, argh. Also, get it all done before the weekend that I leave. Or I'll be pulling off more all-nighters trying to finish my horns and robo-legs. What was it like when you wore it? -Everything was fine, except my horns kept falling off my head. Next time I'll cut a hole on each side of the wig, and wear the horns underneath. Much better solution. | |
