Costume Information

Description
I have always loved Nuriko! He's such a fun character in the manga and provides such comic relief.
I loved the moment when you find out about his past and his sister, and it's so cute. He's such a sweetie and I do like his outfit where he finally decides to be a little bit more manly, and I have wanted to cosplay him ever since!
I just need to work out how to sew it and such like....shall be interesting to do lol.

Virtually COMPLETE! (Posted 27th July 2010)

YAY!
I has the wig and it is BEAUTIFUL!
The Tunic/Jacket is DONE and is also Beautiful
The silly skirt is done and looks silly!
I just have the odd bit to do on the wrist guards but otherwise this costume is essentially FINISHED WIN!

Almost done!!! (Posted 18th July 2010)

I have actually almost finished one of my costumes (and not the easiest one) already! YAY!
I just have to do a little Bias taping on the tunic, and some more machine embroidery. Add the frogs.
Paint the gold lines on the wrist guards and glue the white bits on.
Wrap some ribbon around the leggings and sew the last panel of the skirt and it's DONE!
Wooo!

Jacket (Posted 15th July 2010)

Okay so this cosplay is finally starting to take shape...and it's looking really beautiful! I'm really pleased with it!

Yesterday I sat down after I got home from work and managed to put together and hem the basics of the Tunic and add the collar, complete with machine embroidery and bias tape, I also made a start on the sleeve decoration.

Today I sadly did not manage to be as productive, due to the bank screwing up my day and upsetting me! and issuing me with bad meanie threats! anyways, I have managed to finish off the sleeve decorations (minus the embroidery) and also make a start on the decoration around the collar and along the hem. Why I decided to do double bias taping around all the hems is beyond me, but hey it gives the right effect.

There's not much more to do for this cosplay now thankfully. I just need to finish the decoration on the jacket, attach the frogs, sew the floaty skirt bit and make the wrist guards. woo hoo!

Progress has been made! (Posted 12th July 2010)

Well firstly the wig has been ordered, a delightful 40inch number (which I have measured and it reaches my BUTT! - a thought that brings me much joy!)

I have also managed to sew the sash together and make the sleeves for his pink undershirt! I know it isn't very much but it's a start. I don't have much else to do except crack on with the tunic now (perhaps tomorrow) though that has lots of hideous additions around all the edges...oh joy!
