This is the dress Elphaba wears from the very beginning of Act II. The idea behind the design is that she's patched up her old "Wicked Witch" dress during her years on the run from the Gale Force and the Wizard, hence the rags and patches that make up the bodice and sleeves. This look is finished off with a loose cape made from two ragged pieces of sheer fabric.
Elphaba has much darker makeup in Act II to enhance her cheekbones and eyes, giving her a much more sultry look than in Act I.
I'll be wearing this costume without the pointed hat, as she doesn't wear it in the "No Good Deed" scene. |

You looked so georgeous in this I am seriously sad I wasn't there to see this in person <3 all that detail <3~ Best Elphie!
I'll definately cosplay her again, so you'll get to see eventually! <3 Thanks Iggie <3
You really suit this, great job!
Wonderful Elphaba! I absolutely adore that dress, so much layering and patchwork, you certainly haven't scrimped on detail :D
Thank you so much! This means a lot since Elphaba is one of my all time favourite characters. I'm hoping to wear it again next may for London MCM Expo, and there are so many things I'm going to improve by then. More beading, loose threads hanging from the sleeves, and a longer, fuller skirt and cape. And hopefully the hat and broom, too. ;)
This is beautiful you've really got the character down!
