|The heads for both Wheatley and GlaDos were originally polystyrene spheres, slathered with PVA glue to smooth out the surface. The eyes were made with EL wire and a few other bits and pieces.|
They were were extremely difficult to wear, especially the Wheatley head which had a smaller field of vision than GlaDos, got extremely hot inside and I needed help getting in and out of it in order to cool off every half hour! We also had a friend on hand to help lead us around, even though we could barely get 5 feet without stopping for photos.
Despite the difficulties, we had a lot of fun doing this and hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon.
