Description
I wanted something cute, simple and reconisable for a cosplay New years party my friends are orginising. I figured that a Lucky star cheerleader would be ideal for an event like this and according to the forums the NAMSoc team has already seen the series (while I only seen a couple of episodes and a few clips).

When I told my friend, Adam, about this, he 'bullied' me into doing Miyuki for obvious reasons, thats if you know me. I sorta agreed because it would be an excuse to wear my glasses, which I rarley do outside the house, as well as a few simillarities I have with the character (I hate eyedrops too *shivers*). I was gonna make the dress first then decide on the character but I had Konata in mind because we share the same eyecolour and I like the colour blue. I also had Minami in mind because green is my favourite colour but I have too much of a chest for her.

Plan to rewear this at KitaCon, and hopefully AyaCon (if I make it there).

Deja vu (Posted 7 Days Ago)

It's coming together very slowly. I may remake the green 'V' soon as 'ironing' it on did'nt go so well. The hemming tape I get from the place on the other side of the road from my school is much better quality too.

Got all fabrics. What's next? (Posted 1 Month Ago)

Whoa! I don't have the wig yet and this had already shot up to 20 quid! Why am I surprised since I usually buy more fabric than I need if its so cheap?

I still have a bit of adjusting to the white chest piece around the underarm. Them and the hemming (in general) are ironed together using hemming tape as my sewing machine has been fixed and Lancelot still needs paying. I might also cut out more yellow stars and compare which is the best of the lot since I have already cut half a douzen unsucessful stars :(

I love polycotton :3 Its cheap, comes in various colours and doesn't make a cosplay look ghetto. The colours are perfect (please dont judge by the photo, the lighting is very bad here :( ).

In the image, it only shows the front. I have also done the back too, as well as part of the underdress.

All I need to do now is sort out the star, finish the underdress, adjust the white chest piece, make the straps and sew it all together when my sewing machine is fixed. Im on a Roll!

Chest pieces about 90% (Posted 1 Month Ago)

Having a break while having dinner.

Im currently biasing the edges of the white chest pieces that are going to be shown (omg how could I do this so neatly!? 0_0). Still got to do the top part of one side and make a little yellow star.

The purple fabric is now dry after pre-washing. Gonna make a start of the lower part of the dress as soon as im done with the top half of the dress.

Dress fabrics (Posted 1 Month Ago)

Got most of the fabric but I still need some green for the 'V' at the front. I'll start cutting pattens tonight.

So far Its measured:
3 metre purple-£6
2 metre white-£4
1/4 yellow-50p?

...and some extra-strong hemming tape. I still need to get my sewing machine fixed so I'll be using hemming tape for now and sew it over when I get it back. Its an industrial sewing machine im gonna use so it may be strong enough.
