Description
My original planned costume for the Saturday wasn't going to be finished in time so rather than rush it I nipped out to the fabric shop 9am Friday morning of the expo and grabbed the fabric. 6 metres of blue klona cotton to make the 8 panelled skirt which to be honest is a bit heavy, it doesn't drape as I think it should but I was pressed for time XD Need to take the hem up a couple of inches before I wear it again. 2 metres of powder blue cotton jersey with some bias binding to finish the neckline. 1 metre of navy klona cotton for the bodice, which is lined and interfaced. I had some trouble with this and have plenty of fabric left over so I think I'm going to make myself a new one that is both longer and boned. Left over klona cotton and interfacing to make the headbow. Need to make tails for that but it's otherwise complete.
