| Worn at: London Film and Comic Con 2009 Midlands MCM Expo 19th February 2011 Tada! :D My dream cosplay that I've kept a secret from the day I started it is none other than Bumblebee! And boy, did this one take some work... 8D; If there was ever a costume that I thought might drive me insane, this one was it. I originally kept it a secret because I wanted to see if I could actually complete it before I revealed what it was. I really love Bumblebee - he's one of my favourite fictional characters ever (and my favourite Transformers character!) so I didn't want to let myself down by not finishing it. Oddly enough, it was a heck of a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be. Bonus! This whole costume was a load of fun to create - I used a lot more techniques and ways of creating cosplay on Bumblebee than I have on any costume I've done before now. I decided I didn't like the look of carboard and paint, and so I used a mix of cardboard and seat cushions wrapped in fabric for a look that I liked a lot more. This whole costume is a mess of both machine sewing and handsewing, seat cushions, stuffing, cardboard, plastic, ribbon, felt and stretchy fabric! Oh, and velcro. Lots and lots of velcro. As a result, it's a nightmare to try and put on by myself, as I need assistance from someone else to velcro me into place! I have to thank my sister and our friends who looked after me all day at LFCC 2009, making sure I wasn't dying of heat and walking me through the busy crowds, as well as helping to buy me food and drinks. This is definitely my favourite costume that I've ever created, and I am extremely happy with how it turned out, as I've never done any costumes like this one. I've never been asked for so many photographs before! I was apparently incredibly popular with both adults and kids - I couldn't count the times I heard "Hi Bumblebee!" from somewhere and turning to see little children waving at me. One little girl even asked me if I was going to the second day of LFCC, which I unfortunately wasn't! Nonetheless, I'm glad that I managed to make a lot of people happy, and I can see this costume getting re-worn a lot. :) | |

This is SO amazing.
Well done on this. I love how some parts are squarer than others, some more rounded...you clearly made the best use of every single technique you could think of, and didn't limit yourself by sticking to one way of doing things.
Well done indeed =D
Wow I missed seeing this!

It looks amazing - and Bumblebee is such a colourful and fun character so must have been popular! Shame I didn't get to see this in real-life.
Awesome TFAnimated 'Bee outfit! :D Do you still have it by any chance? Would be cool to meet at London Expo as I has a full G1 Optimus Prime costume ^^
