| This will be for May Expo 2009. And will probably be my most complex cosplay to date. I hoping to do this justice as I haven't seen it done much. Its one of the slightly more complex dress spheres in the game. But I want to keep it quiet, in case I can't pull it off. I'm going to get started fairly sooner, probably straight after October Expo, or before, as there's a lot of stuff to do on it. If I can't get this done, then Ailish from Sudeki will be my back-up. 30/09/2008: So I decided to get started on this last night when i got home from work. It was fairly simple to do, though a little confusing at times having never made one before. It was nice and easy to sew together, and its really comfortable. This is the base for everything. The rest of this has to be added to it... so I'll be working on this a bit at a time. 16/10/2008: Gosh, I haven't updated progress on this lately, have I? Well, as you can prolly see from the photos, Alchemist Rikku is well on the way to completion. Sideskirt, body suit, leggings etc are all done. As are the straps. I still have gloves to do, boots and wig, and her bandanna. As well as the gun. I have a base for the gun (a Dr. Pepper bottle) I have loads of craft foam, some time and a glue gun! I'm hoping to make an attempt on the gun this weekend for fun and to see how it turns out. I have to get some curtain rings to fit on to the sideskirt and into the leatherette. The gloves... I'm not sure how I'm going to manage. Red lycra and probably winging it. I may get some wire and wadding to puff them out and see how that looks... I'll prolly get a prestyled wig from ebay or something. Or get a blonde one and style it myself if I'm feeling adventurous. Bandanna shouldn't be too hard, and I'm already looking around for swimming goggles I can just paint over. | |

Side skirt, Armour and whats left. (Posted 2 Months Ago) So the side skirt is done. Took me two days all in all. I also started the armour yesterday. Craft foam, all glued together. I painted it fairly soon after. I need to do a bit more detailing on the pain, like shading and the like. It also needs varnishing, and a way to attach it to my arms (strips of cyan lycra). But its not too bad at the moment. Next to do are the harder bits. The gloves/sleeves and the boots. Once those are done I can start looking for a wig. |

Straps (Posted 2 Months Ago) Yesterday I made all the straps and belts etc. that go on this cosplay out of leatherette. Today before work, I pinned and sewed them together, adding buckled and velcro where necessary. |

Body Suit (Posted 2 Months Ago) I made the body suit over the last two days. I cut the pattern pieces at some unGodly hour of the morning and simple sewed. It all came together very easily. I then used the blue lycra to make stockings and brown lycra to make an addtional section which goes around the back of the body suit. |

Material (Posted 2 Months Ago) I bought the material today. Lots of stretchy lycra in orange, blue and brown. Some black leatherette for straps and a pattern for it. |

Hate to say, but the one strap at the back of that bodysuit looks like its not going to be too comfy...
XD Actually, I was wandering around my house wearing this when taking progress photos and I don't actually notice it. Its made in the same fashion as underwear. So... yeah. I don't really notice it. It looks like it going to be a pain, but its not. ^^U
