Alomst finished (Posted 12th November 2011)

I haven't done an entry in a while even though i have been working on it. so 'it' is almost finished and the Doki Doki is tomorrow sooooooo excited but as usual always leaving things to the last minute. Ow well it should all be done for tomorrow! (fingers crossed)

Vorpal Blade (Posted 25th October 2011)

finished the blade. not the best in the world but free hand design the pattern with a black sharpie marker. I was going to spend time painting it in a dark grey, but CBA to do it.

Painting (Posted 25th October 2011)

Painting the accessories today I think I have made the doll face supper scary for some reason, but I kinda like it!

Bow (Posted 22nd October 2011)

finished Bow on the back easier than I first thought, now I need to concentrate on the doll face. It will do for now just need to add shading and a back so that it is easy to attach.

gloves (Posted 22nd October 2011)

finished the gloves after about 3 tries, and a lot of unpicking!!!! used more fabric than i had originally dyed so had to make more stripy fabric! AHH pain as almost ran out of the dye!! but managed to get them finished.

I think I will add some pink Bows instead of the ruffle as I want the to look quirky, and having double ruffles on my arms would not look good!! :)
But I am very proud of them and think I will be making some more as they are quiet tostie and warm!

finished apron (Posted 22nd October 2011)

finished the apron. I'm glad I tea dyed it as it is a much better colour. all the pockets have been hand embroidered on and the darker on is the best pocket as I actually lined it like a real pocket. But I like the Blue embroidery the best and CBA doing it again to make the pocket better!

tea stain (Posted 21st October 2011)

I am tea staining the apron to make it look old. I'm basically making a giant cup of black tea and putting the apron in it. I will leave it over night and sew on the pockets tomorrow. (hopefully!!)

gloves (Posted 21st October 2011)

painted the gloves with dylon fabric paint these have been the biggest pain so far as I was just going to buy some, but that proved near impossible to do. so I have to end up making them. so this is my first time making gloves I hope there is a tut on you tube or I might just have to wing it.

top (Posted 21st October 2011)

Just started the top this morning and almost finished, just need to put the collar, buttons, pink frill, and some big stitches. so not bad. but omg was sewing the stripes on so hard and not very straight, just as well it's called misstitched, lol!!

FAIL!! (Posted 21st October 2011)

epic fail on the collar!! not only is it purple and not turquoise but the thing is so tiny I don't even think it would fit a 5 year old!!! AGHHHH!!

embroidery (Posted 20th October 2011)

finished one pocket with embroidery on it for the ceres symbol

Shopping (Posted 20th October 2011)

Just come back from a very successful shopping trip to get all the material and extras to start really putting everything together. who knew it would be so expensive, I think it would be cheaper to just buy one lol!! but where is the fun in that!

starting!! (Posted 19th October 2011)

This is my first cosplay ever! yes I have dressed up for Halloween and fancy dress, but that is nothing compared to the amount of time, effort and dedication that people put in to cosplay. I am not going to make this from scratch like so many do, but going to adapt clothing that I have bought to make a reasonable looking Misstitched cosplay.
I have started making the doll face and the omega pendant as going to every single charity shop and scanning e-bay for days did not help in finding a doll head to cut up for the face. ( and to be honest dolls really creep me out!!) so I decided to make my own using the art of paper mache (which I haven't done since art college). Starting off with cutting out the shape's and then applying paper mache clay (found on you tube! ow how I love you tube tut's!!!). now they are just backing in the oven to completely dry out. hopefully they will be OK when I paint them.
