Description
The Howay!Con Host Club are a rather silly bunch who decided, "why don't we do a skit to shine as the host club!" .. and thus, we were born.

Seeing as myself and Hikaru were the only actual siblings and the only two members who looked even remotely alike within our "host club" we were designated as the twins, with me deciding to be Kaoru since Hikaru's an ass at times and Kaoru actually has some brains.

The blazers were left to Shido with me helping randomly ("helping".. generally not doing anything to be honest but hey-ho), so I didn't really do much at all with this cosplay, apart from finding wigs, patches, and smaller things like that. Though that said it is a damn fine blazer and is very comfy (but also very hot).

We did the anime version, where the patches are far more recogniseable (orange instead of an icky blue/purple mix). The patches aren't official but look far nicer than the ones available from COSPA which cost somewhat of an arm and a leg, while these ones were $6.99 each from eBay. They look.. how to put it.. "classy".

The wigs are great, not too itchy and pretty damn Hitachiin-ish, and they weren't overly expensive either. Only major gripe was the way they make the hats from our skit "sit" on our heads rather than be worn (the curse of wearing wigs..), and that typically the fringe/bangs naturally faced to the right rather than the left, so mine kept going screwy before and after the skit, no matter how much I tried to get it to sit.
It was also really hot to wear.. long hair + wig + hat = not a good combo.

The jackets are great, considering they came from a "2 hour!" pattern which took at least 6 hours each and the arms on mine are somewhat short. Ironic really, everyone else who had a blazer made had the right length sleeves but me and Shido (the twins) both had short sleeves, despite living in the same house and working on them almost nonstop. I'll never understand how we wangled that one.

Overall though, despite all of the discomfort and rush leading up to the convention and skit, I love this outfit, and hope to wear it again in a big group. ^_^
