| The moment the MV come out for this song and I saw these insanely cute and silly outfits i knew I had to make one of them! And since Sayumi has been my favourite Momusu member for her time in the group I knew I had to make hers! This costume was so much pain to make. More so in the fact that finding all the different polka dot fabrics for this was impossible (I think I was a little naive believing all of them existed and would be at my local fabric store...I really should check out fabrics before I decide on a costume XD) I also thought it would be a great idea to make all this in my final year of University! (I think it helped me out in ways, having breaks from animating really helped) All the polka dots on this costume are hand painted by me, apart from the pink and red panels in the skirt, since those fabrics were easy enough to find in the right shades and sizes, and the blue with white dots used in my head bow and detail bows. Everything else...the many bows, the shirt...the apron, all the dots are all painted on by me. (I still, to this day, have trouble looking at polka dots XD trauma flashbacks!) But after you’ve painted so many it becomes easier to freehand paint circles, repetitive and time consuming, but easier. Even though not many people knew who I was at conventions, I’ve always got such nice comments on it just for its dottiness and vibrancy! Hopefully one day I can get together a costume group for this song <3 | |
