Corset thing complete (Posted 30th March 2012)

Spent today fixing the hook and eye strips on this with lots of help from Frazzy.

Only thing I might do is add an extra blue seam down the front, depends what it looks like when the butt cape goes on. For all intents and purposes, however done!

Finished the main structure of my fake corset.

I was hoping it would be a lot more flattering than it actually is.... Ugh, I look so boxy and wide. Nothing I can do about it at this stage, though, just need to power through it and hope for the best.

Hopefully all the other layers will work together to slim it out ):

Pattern Making (Posted 13th January 2012)

Myself and Frazzy set to work on the weird corset skirt thing, one of the many layers of this outfit!
It's all totally patterned from scratch using nothing but calico, pins and some ingenuity! It functions neatly as a corset and will be strong enough to hold the top butt flap layer of the outfit. (I'm at a loathe to want to call it a 'coat' anymore, even though it may look like one from first glance, there' is no coat in it at ALL!)

I made these last month! I still haven't gotten round to painting them yet, but hopefully will soon!!
