|So if you're a Koha fan you can hardly fail to notice her amazing costumes she wears. as an aspiring costume maker it bugs me not knowing the secret to those amazing poofy dresses. |
for now i've been busying myself with figuring out the secret to her Chance! dress. it's bugged me but i finally have it with a little help from Cutie LOVE. >w<
if we could actually see the transformation in any of her videos i would have grasped it much sooner. >w<
UPDATE: I have decided (with 12 days until expo no less) to wear this on the sunday of Expo. WHAT AM I THINKING?????
i sure hope i can pull this off but i'll have to sew in all my free time to get it all done. Velvet is now a back up if i can't get it finished.
no time for a wig so i'm going to be using my own hair but it's no biggy. it's just a little lighter in shade is all. it's the dress that needs to be spot on. wish me luck!!
UPDATE 2: also realised that the colour of pink PVC i have is wrong. Y_Yit's more magenta-y but there's no time to change it so it'll have to do. plus the fabric shop didn't have any other pink. oh well. it'll be fine. ^^
Top dress 50% (Posted 12th May 2009)
So it's going well. the top dress is going swimmingly. i have the pink and red parts on, only the details left to do. time to start on the red under dress.
Update: 11/05/09 (Posted 11th May 2009)
What was i thinking? please tell me what the hell i was thinking! this is a mega cosplay here and i have 4 full days and 2 half days left until expo to work on it. my pink PVC is the wrong colour, the red dress is made up of lots of different frills sewn to one long layer, i have no velcro and the top dress stays in 2 pieces..... O_o this will be tough to pull off. but hopefully i will do it. i wouldn't try ifi didn't have confidence in my skills.
i also need to buy a thick red ribbon.
