| Making this costume seriously as I need a cosplay that suits me really well. I have very similar hair and I think the right facial structure to be Ashe. I will be making every thing from scratch, garments Armour, sword boots and even jewels :s I'm doing it to challenge myself and i am unemployed (well on work experience) I need some thing to keep my skill from my degree in tact. You can also follow the progress of this costume on my blog, which will have the pages bigger and all the back dated ones as i can only hold 12 images on at a time here my blog is: http://asheprincessofdalmasca.blogspot.com/ And if you ever want help or any thing in making your own cosplay like this, I will be more than happy to help you :3 | |

Arm gards (Posted 9th January 2012) First stage of the arm guard things. Corrigated cardboard stage (ninjared boxes from Aldi, yay for free materials!!) Corigated cardboard I would strongly recoment for armour building as a. it is vertualy free. and b.can be curved around body parts very easily. I used hot glue to hold all the componants together and while the glue was still hot I held the curved till cool, then trimmedoff any excess board and glue. I know it looks very messy right now, but that is the beauty of making stuff this way. Next I will coat the outer parts in resin and fiberglass the inside to make the whole thing alot stronger. (will show pics to ya guys) Then a thin layer of car body filler whick i can carve and sand smooth. |

ok i am moving old progress pages over to journal as it is all full up :3 (Posted 30th October 2011) Refrance images from the Ashe action figure |

Update on construction (Posted 6th October 2011) Here are some pictures half way through construction. The collar and back cover still need to be added as well as were casing & bra wire to the cups to stop sagging and support my chest better :3 After I have sewn every thing for the top I will make a proper progress page for it like I have done for my previous steps. then I will need to make resin jewels and armour details for the CF betweem the cups and the collar, aswell as hand embrolder the 'skirts' gold detail which will the then painted in the same gold paint as the armour to keep consistant. |
|
Sewing (Posted 2nd October 2011) Started to sew up the final top. It still needs the collar and the cups to be sewn in. |
|
Top Armour (Posted 1st October 2011) Designed the armor/jewelry for the top, to sit on the collar and on top of the bra cups. It will be made in painted polystyrene and eva foam with resin gems in |

Finished waist waspi!!! (Posted 27th September 2011) Yay! final finished the black waist waspi!! I will put pic up soon :D Just haveto replace one of the eyelets as it is being pulled out :( just need to find the damn wire cutters. |
|
Final sewing (Posted 25th September 2011) Started to sew up the top starting with the black waist waspi and I am pleased with the results so far. It just needs its wire casing sewn (by hand) insert the spiral boning (ordered earlier today) and then glue hem edges. |
