Mew Den Chan
|This costume will be the most technically complicated one I've done. It's a refreshing break to cosplay a video game character - plus I will not have any exams, lectures or classes for a long while now. So my evenings and weekends can have a bit of dedication to a cosplay project ^^|
Mass Effect is one of my favourite video game series, if not my only favourite. I can't remember the last time I got so excited about a series - I'm practically squeeing over the release of Mass Effect 3.
Tali is my favourite character next to Dr. Mordin Solus. The fact she wears a mask and that you never properly see her unmasked add a wonderful sense of mystery to her character, leaves something to the imagination - however on this occassion, if Tali is unmasked, you'll only see my face D: Right now I'm in two minds over whether I should do something with my face and eyes to really transform myself into the Quarian machinist.
Although it is not up on the list yet, I hopefully be wearing this costume to MCM London Expo May 2012. My attendance will be a pilgrimage in itself, as I will be coming all the way down from Glasgow.
This costume will take patience, and a dissecting eye. First time I thought about cosplaying her, I thought, "Eek! That's impossible!" However, I've figured that if I break up her costume into pieces and stages, it'll be so much simpler. It'll all start with a black body suit base!
There will need to be some finger-binding going on here as well. It'll remind me of the days where I used to tape my fingers together to find out what it was like having Raziel and Kain's claw-hands.
