| First cosplay where everything has been bought and customised! Trying to find a suitable tank top was the biggest nightmare! I ended up customising one... Decided to do this cosplay after talking to Miiol about group cosplays and Gakuen Heaven, getting a bit overexcited and saying 'I need to cosplay Naruse NOW' Strangely this hasn't been the easiest cosplay to put together (but it has been the cheapest!) This sounds a bit ridiculous because the outfit itself is relatively simple o_O I even had to bring in the trousers I bought since they were too big on the waist! I suppose the hardest part was straightening the wig. Obviously since it is a synthetic wig I couldn't use heated appliances! Also, I still needed a slight wave to it. I ended up using hot water to relax the hair, then sticking the wig on a display head and weighting the front part down! (After that, I killed it with hairspray). Was the first time I tried this method; it wasn't amazingly effective but I think I could do it better next time. Pricing shows what a cheapskate I was with this: Wig - £4.99 Shirt - £4.00 Tank top - £8.00 Trousers - £2.00 (they were in the sale at Primark, haha) Bias binding for shirt - £0.99 Will add pictures when I get them! If I ever redo this cosplay I might try to find a better tank top and a nicer wig; I went for a cheaper wig for more of an anime feel! | |
