I love Giant Robo, and Ginrei is cool. I made this for Aya '09 since it's nice and summery.
Like my Chun Li costume, the dress was being made using McCall's pattern M4369, but with far fewer modifications (I just had to make the skirt shorter and cut the shoulders in a bit narrower). The rose and embellishments were applied using Heat n Bond. The wig was a Forest Green Ivy wig from Cosworx, which I applied some dark green dye to because the green was a bit overpowering. I wasn't entirely happy with the final colour, I don't think the dye took to the wig very well (and then refused to rinse out completely, so a lot of it rubbed off on my dress - boo). I don't really like how the styling job came out either so I'll probably look at redoing it sometime soon.
It was actually quite comfortable to wear, aside from my own paranoia about how short the skirt was (I know I flashed most of the people watching the masquerade at Aya, so... sorry! In my defence, I genuinely didn't notice how short the dress had to be until other people started commenting on it). I like the dress enough that when I've had it cleaned I'll probably keep wearing it as a fancy top with some nice trousers. |

You looked great in this, I actually like how the wig colour came out, it's a huge improvement over the original. Shame it marked the dress.
