|I've recently fallen in love with this dress since rewatching this film. I suggested to Rudeth that he be Bert a couple of weeks ago, so I may have to remind him about this XD|
-HAT has been commissioned by the lovely and talented S-Lawliet!
Made from white lace(It's soft curtain lace as this was the cheapest way to do it), with red ribbon threaded through white lace for the embellishments. Fake mini-rose-bouquets attached around the skirt. The bodice was made from a combination of three patterns, and I used my favourite ball-gown skirt pattern for the skirt for adequate poof.
The chest ruffle is just a gathered strip of the same lace fabric
Made from off-white jersey fabric. Skirt pattern the same as the overdress.
All made from liquid satin (as it is cheap to buy in bulk) with the same pattern again. All of my hate. One white and three red.
My terra shoes as a base, with white bodycon spats. Each bootcover has 10 red buttons up the outside.
A shop-bought white parasol with pink fairy organza sewn onto alternative panels. I might sculpt the bird's head handle in the future!
White gloves bought from an accessory shop.
Ayacon 2013: I had so much fun wearing this! It got a great reception which makes me very happy. Rudeth made a perfect Bert and we had an awesome time derping around. My only niggles were that my shoes rubbed (I forgot to buy heel grips OTL) and my corset kept trying to creep up because of all the pettis so it started pinching my skin). Both are minor problems which I can fix up pretty easily for the next time I wear it. I intend to add some ribbon and sparkles to the chest ribbon as I noticed these details when watching the movie 2 days before the con WHOOPS
Midlands MCM Expo 2014: I had a blast wearing this today! The new wig I bought is MUCH MUCH thicker than the first one, so it took a lot longer and many more pins to style it! It went down very well again, and I even decided to enter the masquerade with it! Putting insoles and grips in the shoes was the best idea ever (though they failed to stop my feet hurting my the end of the day haha), and I pinned my petticoats in place so the corset was much more comfortable.
Still haven't added the ribbon and sparkles though...

Petticoats (Posted 4th July 2013)
I am so done with pettis. I just have to hem them now but I've finally pieced together one white petti and three red. If these don't provide enough poof, I'll be using my lolita petti as well
Waspie (Posted 22nd July 2012)
I've taken artistic licence for this. Having found back reference, I found that the back was extremely narrow, and not laced. In order to make this as comfortable as possible, I made the back a bit taller, and put in lacing for cuteness and adjustability.

S-Lawliet has very kindly agreed to make the hat for me, and I know she's going to do an amazing job on it!
