Description
A dream cosplay of mine, when i first had the idea I didn't think I'd ever be able to pull it off

It's been cheap because I had to make it cheap, some of the fabrics aren't perfect, I've done a lot of recycling from things I already had

I'M PAINTING MYSELF GREEN

I'm glad you wore this, it's a really interesting way of approaching the fire/ice effects and looked fantastic.
I also love the natural looking green paint rather than bright solid colour, it balances out the bright costume.

Journal

Construction notes (Posted 7th September 2011)

Wig- started with a long white wig. Used the un-needed length to make wefts for the back parting. Bunches are built on short cones made out of thin polypropylene sheet. curls at the front done with silicon and then rolled and stitched in place

Details- pretty much all done with heat & bond, a million times better than bond-a-web. I was cutting them out with a scalpel :)

Top- cut up an old corset like top to make the pattern

Gem- involved some complicated origami which i then cut up to get the shapes to make a net. then cut in clear polypropylene and painted with glass paints

I used Kryolan water based body paint but applied very thinly (almost dabbing on and wiping off again) I wanted more of a skin toning effect rather than a strong colour- way I see it she's green because the witches are 400 years old. The pics on here look a little pale but i'd been wearing it for about 8hrs when these were taken with very little touching up
