| Old-School Minami fun :D Bring on the retro biker kitties, with my partner in crime; Odangochan. We've gone for a combination of references as we liked the black costumes, but preferred the asymmetrical design of the similar red ones, so we ignored the second set of pouldrons and elbow guards. Mirror image twins works so much better, then we just had to fight over who got the shoulder or garter bullet belt :) Due to being obsessed with my Griselda wings I didn't get the bodysuit finished in time and had to run out to the shops to buy one Saturday morning, which could have been a small problem if they didn't have any XD The wigs are incredible, we had to feed them small animals to keep them happy in the run-up to the con. We bought them pre-styled as drag queen wigs and they are truly huge. | |

Balloons and Pulp (Posted 9th February 2010) To make the pouldrons and elbow guards we blew up two large and two smaller balloons and coated them in paper pulp. We covered an area larger than needed so we could cut it afterwards for a crisp edge. The pulp took a while to dry (and we couldn't put them in the oven as suggested or the balloons would pop) so I left them in the capable hands of Odangochan and like a paper pulp master she sanded them smooth and stuck on the spikes (plastic ring display stands). I added on the studded edging with the joining hoop and then glued heavy duty poppers to the inside which attached to my top sleeve. |

Primark FTW (Posted 4th March 2009) Bullet garter, kinky bikers ;) Hurrah for kiddies costume bullet belts! I've got stockings and gloves done. I started the bodysuit and realised I'd cut everything stretching the wrong way, so that became the stockings. |
